Having A 12 Channel CCTV System Is Not The End
One of the great features we want to highlight to all of our potential customers, readers, or even
tech in the industry, is that you can expand from a 12 channel CCTV system and go all the way to a
64 channel setup. The silver lining in owning a PC based security DVR opposed to a standalone security
DVR is the ability for the system to grow and expand. Standalone units stop at 16 channels mostly. It is
hard to find a CCTV system in a standalone family that surpasses 16 channels. Naturally this creates some
worries, no one wants to buy more than what they need initially. But sometimes you don't have that choice
with current selections at hand. But the best thing about PCs is yo have that option to expand your system.
So when you are shopping for a 12 channel or 16 channel system, know that you can take your time if budgeting
is a problem up-front. Most CCTV systems adapt to new demands and changes in security or from what the investors
or owners of a business may want. It is an ideal decision if you have a commercial application to look at 12
channel DVRs, you never know when you might need to expand.
