A hexaplex DVR refers to digital video recorder that, while still recording, will simultaneously allow the user to live-view the CCTV footage, backup the already recorded audio or video surveillance, and remote access the video feed through the Internet.
Hexaplex DVR and Pentaplex DVR at one time were different but now are generally interchangeable descriptions.
