We have installed at the front of the 48 channel DVR an air-filter that reduces the amount dust and lint that get's inside your digital video recorder. This will need to be changed monthly. We included enough DVR air-filters for one years worth of changes. After the one year warranty expires, you can purchase additional PC DVR filters from us, but you will need to know that maintenance is required. In the event a hard drive breaks in your 48 channel DVR, you can take it out and send it in for a replacement. If the DVR you have is out of warranty then you can buy a discount hard drive from us, or visit your local computer parts dealer. They are easy to replace, but you will have to turn off your 48 channel DVR to do so.
