You can use these hidden microphones in residential applications and help you get key information on routey neighbors, vandals, bad teenagers, anyone that is a threat. A spy microphone is a plug and play option. Most hidden mics use RCA cable to run power and the signal to the DVR. Any in case know you cannot record audio and use it against someone in a court of law. However, it does not stop you from wanting to know key pieces of information that you need to know about your neighbors, husband, wife, children, guest and etc. Currently we do not have security microphones that can work outdoors.

Spy Microphones assist security cameras
Spy microphone can play a critical role in getting information. Currently there are no security cameras in the form of a dome or bullet camera that can record audio outside (although there are some audio enabled bullet cameras). C-mount cameras and PTZ cameras are the only two security cameras where, you can get the ability to record audio and that can be used outdoors. The only problems are one, the c-mount cameras need a 2 to 3 foot housing to survive outdoors and that is just an eye sore for a home.
