It is considered to be a multi-purpose security camera. However, one of the best points in these security cameras performance is it's ability to withstand damage from water. Mother nature is not very predictable, or even nice, 100% of the time. These weatherproof bullet camera models are built to endure extreme exposure to water, dew points, hail, thunderstorm rain, and hurricanes up to a category three or four. They cannot however, be submerged in water. So these are not cameras made to operate in the ocean, pool, or any other water controlled environments.

What Is An IP Rating

IP ratings are refereed to the resistance a security camera can handle from hurricanes. These weatherproof bullet cameras can be in rainy conditions for long periods of time without damage to the lens. These cameras have been put through testing from our manufacture's R&D department and we approve. Weatherproof Bullet Camera are not Waterproof

If you are in search of a security camera that needs to be submerged in water, you are out of gas. There are no such things as waterproof bullet security cameras. Submerging a bullet camera in water is very dangerous and should not be tried. They are not built to be fully submerged in water; again there are no waterproof bullet cameras!. You will need to look at hi tech video recording cameras. Now this does not mean our cameras cannot survive extreme water abuse. They can! Large quantities of water can hit the shell of the camera and nothing will happen to it. There will be no water build up inside the camera or around the lens of the camera. But, please, do not use our weatherproof bullet cameras in pools, ocean water, or any other liquid environment.
