This security camera has everything one would need. First, this camera has a 1/3" Sony CCD chip-set that produces 550 TV lines of video. The lens embedded into the board of the camera is a 8mm fixed lens. The camera's high resolutions makes it a top perform. You will not find a better security camera for this price in this class. We have a stock pile of them to sell and most of the buyers so far have been residential and small commercial clients. Mainly residential customers. The 8mm lens in the camera is much tighter than a 3.5mm lens, 4mm lens, and a 6mm lens. You can still have some angle of view but it will be tighter. The main goal here is to help give home-owners more weapons to see facials and targeted options before the enter unsafe or private areas. This is a great camera to use under the eves of your home's roof to see down the sides of your home or lawn. It also can work great for longer drive-ways too.

The 1/3" Sony CCD chip-set gives it's ability to see in such fine detail. The chip-set was designed to take in more light, thus improving the sharpness and brightness of the video. The camera is equipped with a 8mm lens. Paired with it's 42 infrared LED lights, this camera can see out to 80 feet during the day and night. If you measure in meters it sees out to 25 meters. The 42 infrared LED lights, illuminates well enough for the lens of the camera to render video in total darkness. You cannot see facials past 80 feet, but you will be able to see people, animals, trucks, cars, and other objects .

SONY CS958SV Camera Mounting Instructions

The mounting bracket is very standard. It comes in the box with the camera, with a sheet for instructions and some screws. It is a c-bracket and you can mount this camera up-right or top-side up. It is light enough where you can mount freely without putting too much stress on the bracket. The c-bracket has a knob that you can un-tighten and tilt the camera up or down, until you reach the desired setup. If you have bought this camera already and you lost or broke the bracket, we sell after-market mounting brackets, that you can replace for a more sturdy bracket. We have several types of brackets for different purposes and styles.
